Internship at the Embassy
The Embassy of Belgium in Canberra welcomes unpaid interns for a minimum period of two months. The internship has to be part of the academic curriculum of the intern (or officially approved by the university otherwise).
The candidate interns have to:
- possess the nationality of a country of the European Union;
- be the holders of a university degree of the long type (Master);
- have an in depth knowledge of French, Dutch and English.
The internship consists mainly of the follow-up and processing of Political and Economic themes, as well as representation activities. The emphasis is also geared towards a complete integration in the work structure of the Embassy.
Interns are responsible for their Australian visa, travel costs and accommodation.
The applications have to be submitted online on the platform e-Stage, with an up-to-date resume and a motivation letter in English and Dutch/French.
Take a look at the e-Stage platform to find out during which periods the Embassy can offer internships. Spontaneous applications should also be submitted via e-Stage and will be assessed on an ad hoc basis.
